Your generosity and kindness have blown us away.
We’re so thankful to all of you who have helped us blow past our fundraising goal of $30,000. We raised more than $43,000!
In 2014, we had a dream: To help children with dyslexia overcome the challenges they face—and fulfill their dreams and aspirations.
Today, your thoughtful and generous donations will help us expand our programs, invest in infrastructure and staffing as we plan for our future training center, and expand our reach to help more children with dyslexia.
You can still give.
If you haven’t yet made a donation to our 1st Annual Giving Campaign, please consider joining Dyslexia Center of Austin’s friends and family by donating today. Together, we can change the trajectory of children’s lives.
one more special thanks.
The artistic font you’ve seen at the top of the emails we’ve been sending is called “Dyslexic Typeface.” It’s brilliant.
We want to thank designer Daniel Britton, who is dyslexic, for giving us permission to use his ingenious font throughout our 1st Annual Giving Campaign.
He said he wanted to create a typeface that would be almost illegible so that it would slow down the reading pace of a non-dyslexic person to the speed of a dyslexic and recreate the frustration and embarrassment of everyday reading.
