Two Versions of the Write Idea Curriculum

  • Write Idea Take Flight Add-On Curriculum
    Currently, the Take Flight-aligned Write Idea add-on module is available exclusively to students enrolled in Take Flight/Bridges. This 15-minute extension seamlessly integrates with each Take Flight lesson to provide explicit, systematic instruction in handwriting, spelling, and written expression.

    Part 1—(Currently Available)—Aligned with Take Flight Year 1
    Part 2—(Anticipated Summer 2027)—Aligned with Take Flight Year 2

  • Write Idea Stand-Alone Curriculum—(Anticipated Summer 2027)
    The Write Idea Stand-Alone Curriculum for students with dysgraphia is anticipated to be available in Summer 2027. This one-year intervention is designed to be delivered in 30-minute daily lessons.

About Write Idea

Write Idea: A Dysgraphia and Written Expression Intervention is a specialized curriculum developed by the Scottish Rite for Children to support students with dysgraphia and written expression challenges. Write Idea provides targeted, structured instruction to help students with:

  • Cursive letter formation (uppercase and lowercase)

  • Connecting cursive letters to write words, phrases, and sentences

  • Numbers formation

  • Supplemental spelling instruction aligned with the Take Flight lesson

  • Written Expression—parts of speech, constructing sentences, and composition skills
